Jlloyd Samuel, Joey O'Brien, Johan Elmander and Tamir Cohen will all leave Bolton when their contracts expire next month, it has been confirmed.

Neither Samuel or O'Brien featured for Wanderers this season, while Cohen was restricted to just 11 appearances following a troubled campaign on and off the field.

Elmander finished top of the club's goalscoring charts after scoring 12 goals in 45 games, but will leave the Reebok Stadium after rejecting a new contract.

Daniel Sturridge and Rodrigo Moreno will go back to their parent clubs after completing their respective loan spells, while academy trio Sam Sheridan, Maison McGeechan and Tom Eckersley have also left the club.

Speaking about the departures of these players, Trotters boss Owen Coyle thanked them for the contributions they made to the club.

"I wish all the players who are departing the club all the very best," Coyle told the club's official website.

"I want to thank them for their efforts and professionalism. Ultimately when these decisions come about they're made for footballing reasons.

"Daniel and Rodrigo have both come into the club on loan deals and done wonderfully well.

"We like young and exciting players at the football club and the two have shown they have the potential to continue to grow and develop."

Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that Ricardo Gardner and Temitope Obadeyi have been offered new deals at the club.
