The season is over and Burnden Aces are pleased to announce Stuart Holden as your 2010/11 Player of the Season.

Holden has impressed during his first full season at the club after battling back from a broken leg suffered at the end of the previous campaign.

Injury prematurely ended his season in a 1-0 defeat at Manchester United in March, but that didn't stop the USA international picking up the majority of the vote.

Holden held off competition from Lee Chung-Yong and Paul Robinson, who finished second and third respectively. He becomes the fifth player to win the gong since its launch in 2006, following in the footsteps of Chung-Yong, Kevin Davies, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Kevin Nolan.

Below are the final results of this year's poll:

64.8% - Stuart Holden

10.3% - Lee Chung-Yong

  9.1% - Paul Robinson

  6.1% - Gary Cahill

  3.8% - Kevin Davies

  1.7% - Zat Knight

  1.4% - Johan Elmander

  1.2% - Jussi Jaaskelainen

  1.1% - Martin Petrov

  0.5% - Fabrice Muamba

Total Votes - 992
