Ricardo Gardner is hoping Sunday's game against Manchester City won't be his last in a Bolton shirt.

The Jamaica international recently surpassed 400 appearances for the Trotters, but he is out of contract at the end of the current campaign.

The 32-year-old has spent 13 years at the Reebok Stadium after joining the club from Harbour View in 1998 and he remains hopeful that he will extend his stay by signing a new contract in the summer.

"I don't even want to think about my contract, I just want to go out there and help my team-mates get the win we play each game for," Gardner said.

"I haven't spoken to the manager yet but we'll see what happens at the end of the season.

"It would be great to get a new deal and push on from there but at the end of the day it's up to the manager. I'd be pleased to stay on here."
