Rodrigo Moreno's father and agent says the player would be happy to stay at Bolton next season.

Rodrigo is currently on loan at the Reebok Stadium from Benfica and the Portuguese giants have reportedly told Wanderers to forget about another loan deal, insisting the club would have to buy the Spain under-19 international.

A fee of £4million could put Bolton off a deal, but Adalberto Machado, Rodrigo's father and agent, believes his son would be happy to remain in England.

"Let's talk. Rodrigo is happy and adjusted to England," he said.

"I would love him to continue there, he is happy with the coach and will have more opportunities to play this season.

"Staying at Benfica would be no problem. He has evolved tactically and physically during this time [in England]. He is more mature."

Rodrigo has made 19 appearances for Bolton this season, with his only goal in a 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic in January.
