Owen Coyle has refused to comment on Marcos Alonso's situation after the full-back was involved in a fatal car crash at the beginning of this week.

Alonso was arrested during the early hours of Monday morning after the car he was driving flipped and crashed in to a wall, causing a 22-year-old woman to die from her injuries in hospital.

The Wanderers full-back is said to have been more than twice over the legal alcohol limit and could face a charge of involuntary manslaughter in a case which could last a minimum of eight months.

Speaking about the 20-year-old's future, Coyle refused to shed any light on the situation.

"I am not getting drawn into it. We just have to wait and see," Coyle said.

"Marcos' situation is completely separate and I am not getting involved. I cannot say anything about it because of the legal situation.

"I don't know the full extent of it myself. It would be folly to be saying anything because of the legal issues."
