Jussi Jaaskelainen believes Bolton should be aiming for European qualification this season and not be content with just finishing in the top half.

Wanderers currently occupy seventh position in the Premier League, with ten games left to play.

An FA Cup quarter final tie at Birmingham City awaits the club and the Finnish goalkeeper believes a place in next season's UEFA Europa League is not beyond Owen Coyle's team.

"I said back in January when we had a bad run that all we really needed was to get a win to get back on track," Jaaskelainen told the club's official website.

"We should be flying now until the end of the season. We have 10 games coming up but they are not thick and fast, so we should be well prepared.

"We're in a good position to build on last season. We wanted a top-half finish - and I'd be disappointed if we didn't get that now.

"I wouldn't say I'd take that though, we should be aiming as high as we can."
