After netting two goals in two FA Cup games, Ivan Klasnic is hoping his form will persuade Owen Coyle into handing him his first Premier League start of the season.

Klasnic scored the winning goal in Sunday's fifth round victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage, just four days after he also netted the only goal in a fourth round replay at Wigan Athletic.

The Croatia international has struggled with injuries this campaign, but with the problems now behind him, the 31-year-old is hoping he can feature in the league more often before the end of the season.

"We'll see what happens in the coming weeks," Klasnic told the club's official website.

"I'd like to think that I have given the gaffer something to think about with my performances in the last two games, as have a number of players who have come into the side.

"Maybe there will be some changes for the next game against Newcastle, maybe not. I want to play games as every footballer does."
