After falling to defeat at Manchester City on Sunday, Jussi Jaaskelainen is hoping Bolton can bounce back with victory over Blackburn Rovers next weekend.

An early strike from Carlos Tevez gave City all three points in the clash at Eastlands and despite having a man advantage in the latter stages, following the dismissal of Aleksandar Kolarov, Wanderers could fight back for a draw.

Despite the defeat, Jaaskelainen is confident Wanderers can bounce back against Rovers and put themselves back in contention for a European place.

"For the first five to ten minutes we were under a fair bit of pressure and they got their goal," Jaaskelainen told the club's official website. "But after that I thought we began to find our feet and come into the game a little more.

"I felt we were a little unlucky not to have scored. We had one or two half chances but things just didn't really go our way.

"The mood in the dressing room after the game was that everyone was disappointed and I think that shows how far we've come.

"It's now a massive game this Sunday against Blackburn.

"It's always important to bounce back in the right manner after a defeat. We have to make sure we're positive."
