Leeds United have extended Andy O'Brien's loan deal at Elland Road until the New Year.
O'Brien was due to return to Bolton next week once his initial spell at the club had expired, but United chairman Ken Bates has confirmed a deal has been reached to keep the 31-year-old with the Championship club.
"I'm happy to announce that we have agreed with Bolton to extend his loan until January," Bates told Yorkshire Radio.
"We've got him now until January 4 and then hopefully we'll be talking to Bolton to see if we can keep him beyond that.
"He's certainly been a great figure in the defence and he's enjoying it."
Meanwhile, Temitope Obadeyi's loan stay at Shrewsbury Town has been extended until January 8th.
