Bolton make the short trip to Wigan Athletic on Saturday, hoping to build on last week's win over Stoke City.

The DW Stadium hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Wanderers in past seasons, with a 3-1 victory in April 2007 their only success in their six visits.

Since that day three-and-a-half years ago, Wanderers have failed to score on any of their trips. However, they did record a 4-0 success over their local rivals at the Reebok Stadium in March.

Amongst the goalscorers that day were Johan Elmander and Kevin Davies, who are both expected to keep their places in attack for the game as Ivan Klasnic sits out the trip through suspension.

Manager Owen Coyle could once again name an unchanged side, with a familiar backline of Paul Robinson, Zat Knight, Gary Cahill and Gretar Steinsson sitting behind a midfield of Martin Petrov, Stuart Holden, Fabrice Muamba and Lee Chung-Yong.

Mark Davies is pushing for a place in the starting eleven, but is most likely to be sat on the bench. He is one yellow card away from suspension.

Joey O'Brien, Jlloyd Samuel, Ricardo Gardner and Sean Davis are all missing with long-term injuries, while Andy O'Brien isn't yet fit enough to be considered following a hamstring injury.

Wigan go into the game without goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi, who is on loan at the club from Bolton. Premier League rules prevent the Oman international from facing his parent club, meaning Chris Kirkland will come back into the side.

With substitute goalkeeper Mike Pollitt missing through injury, Roberto Martinez is expected to call upon youngster Lee Nicholls to fill a void on the bench.

Gary Caldwell is still recovering from hip surgery and will miss the game, while Franco Di Santo and Steve Gohouri are doubtful.

Charles N'Zogbia, who scored twice at Newcastle United last weekend, should start again, with Hugo Rodallega playing as a lone striker.
