Owen Coyle was left to curse his luck following Bolton's 1-1 draw at Wigan Athletic, insisting the Latics' goal should have been ruled out.

In the build up to the goal which broke the deadlock at the DW Stadium, Franco Di Santo appeared to be stood in an offside position from which he played in Hugo Rodallega, who struck past the stranded Jussi Jaaskelainen.

The goal was allowed to stand though, leaving Coyle once again frustrated at a refereeing decision.

"Ultimately we went behind to a goal that was clearly two yards offside, I felt that at the time," Coyle told Sky Sports.

"I've seen it back and when Di Santo picks up the ball he's two yards offside. He plays a great ball for Rodallega to finish, but that should be stopped at source as he's offside.

"At that point it would be easy to feel sorry for yourself having put so much into the game and find yourself 1-0 to another huge decision against us.

"This group of players with the spirit they have in each other they picked themselves up and got a deserved equaliser.

"For the last part of the game both teams tried to win the game. We always knew that Wigan would be dangerous."
