After opening his account for Bolton in their draw with Manchester United, Martin Petrov insists he is yet to show his best form in Wanderers colours.
Petrov moved to the Reebok Stadium from Manchester City in the summer but had failed to live up to early season expectations. However, he put in his best performance for the club against United, scoring the second goal, and he believes he will soon recapture his form.
"I don't think I have played very well for Bolton yet because of the knee injury I had at City last season," Petrov said.
"It is difficult at 31 to come back after an injury and play at your best. But I will give everything.
"I just want to tell Bolton fans I am not yet the real Martin Petrov - but I will be."
