Following the disappointing Carling Cup defeat at Burnley, Bolton captain Kevin Davies is targetting victory over Manchester United this weekend.
Wanderers host Sir Alex Ferguson's side at the Reebok Stadium at noon on Sunday, with Davies hopeful that the club can get a positive result against a side they have lost to in each of the previous five meetings.
"It's been a few years since we have got a win against them," Davies told the club's official site. "It would be nice to come away with a big result against them.
"I could call it a scalp, but I know the manager loves pitting himself against the best and he wants us to be aiming for victories against these kind of clubs. He sees no reason why we can't win if we show our qualities.
"There's always a buzz around the training ground in the days leading up to playing Manchester United. The lads have all been on top of their game in training in anticipation for the game.
"Yes, it's a big game against Manchester United, but at the same time it's just another league fixture and we'll be as prepared as we would for any other match."
