Bolton will see an unfamiliar name on their teamsheet this weekend, with Rob Lainton set to be named amongst the substitutes.

With Jussi Jaaskelainen starting a three-match ban and Ali Al Habsi currently out on loan at Wigan Athletic, Lainton, fourth choice goalkeeper at the club, will act as understudy to Adam Bogdan, who himself will be making his first Premier League start at Arsenal.

Lainton has been a regular in the reserves over the last two years and, while he didn't expect his opportunity in the first team to arrive so soon, he is determined to enjoy the experience and be ready to play if called into action.

"Coming back at pre-season I expected to be fourth choice, but with Ali going to Wigan and Jussi being suspended, then I'm obviously excited at the chance I've got for the next three games.

"To be honest, I feel like I've come on a lot since I came back after summer. It's great knowing that I'm coming into training every day and I'm going to be working with the first-team players.

"When I came to the club in the youth team then it was the level I aspired to. When you are training on one pitch and see the big names on the other then you want to one day be over there.

"Now it's great that I'm actually there and the lads are great with me too because they treat me as part of the group.

"Hopefully I can continue as I have been doing."
