With the transfer window fast approaching it's conclusion, Bolton boss Owen Coyle admits Matt Taylor is likely to stay at the club.

Taylor has been linked with a move to both Liverpool and West Ham United within the last week, with fees of between £2million and £5million being touted in the press.

The 28-year-old made his first start of the season in the 1-0 win over Southampton on Tuesday night and Coyle says the player is unlikely to leave the club this month.

"Not unless the financial climate changes at our club," Coyle said about the possible departure of Taylor.

"This has been a tricky pre-season because we have had no players out of contract, so we have had to be inventive in the Bosmans we have signed.

"I think we have done well with what we have, although I'd love to be one of these managers with £15million or £20million.

"But we've not got that so we don't moan about it, we get on with what we've got and make a real fist of it, but if things change I'd love to add one or two to help the group."
