Bolton boss Owen Coyle has denied reports of a training ground bust-up with goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen.

An article in Saturday's Daily Mail suggests that the Wanderers keeper took objection to Coyle bringing coach Phil Hughes to the club and the subsequent dismissal of the long-serving Fred Barber.

Barber, however, is still amongst Coyle's backroom staff and the Wanderers boss claims any fall out is just pure speculation.

"I've been to the training ground every day and I've not seen anything," Coyle told Sky Sports.

"I can assure you the lads have worked their socks off. Football being football there are always going to be things thrown up, but if it happened I was not aware of it.

"They (Hughes and Barber) work together with the five goalkeepers we have at the club - it is not rocket science, it is very plain and simple."

Jaaskelainen played the full 90 minutes of Bolton's FA Cup victory over Sheffield United on Saturday, keeping his first clean sheet since the Carling Cup win at Tranmere Rovers in August.
