Burnley boss Owen Coyle has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant manager's job at Bolton.

Coyle, a former Wanderers favourite, has earned a reputation as an exciting young manager during his time at Turf Moor and would be a popular choice amongst the Trotters faithful.

However, Coyle has ruled himself out of the running, insisting he is fully focused on his current job.

"It is a fantastic job for someone out there but my focus is on doing the best against MK Dons this weekend," said Coyle.

"I have had speculation time and time again but, as always, I am concentrating on the job in hand.

"I had a lot of fantastic times at Bolton and loved every minute.

"But I love being at this football club and I have shown that."
