Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that they will be offering 100 free tickets to British servicemen and women for every remaining home game this season.

The campaign, which Burnden Aces put to the club back in September, has been successfully utilised by other Premier League clubs this season.

The Tickets for Troops scheme will give people who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan over recent years the opportunity to attend major sporting events for free.

A spokesperson for Tickets for Troops said: "We do not believe there is any better way to show our nation's thanks and recognition for the work that our Armed Forces routinely do.

"This is a small way of saying thank-you. We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received and the huge number of offers of tickets for major events."

The campaign will begin immediately at Bolton, with the upcoming home match against Hull City the first chance for fans to get their hands on free tickets.
