Danny Ward is hoping he has done enough to earn an extended loan spell at Swindon Town.

The 18-year-old is set to return to Bolton before the year is out, but, despite failing to score so far, hopes to stay at the County Ground.

"It's a great place to be with a great set of lads and I need to continue getting used to how they play," Ward told the Swindon Advertiser.

"The lads have all helped me fit in and feel really welcome, and I just want to get more games under my belt and help us get some more wins.

"Game time is what I came here looking for, so I was pleased to get on (against Bristol Rovers) for a decent amount of time.

"I'm here for a month and am just taking it week by week at the moment, but I would like to stay here longer. It's a great place to be and I'd love to stay for another couple of months."

Ward is the second Wanderers player to have a loan spell at Swindon so far this season, following in the footsteps of Temitope Obadeyi.
