Bolton travel to Birmingham City on Saturday, hoping to end the month of September unbeaten.

Prior to the extra time victory over West Ham United in the Carling Cup on Tuesday, Wanderers drew at home to Stoke City, a week after claiming victory at bottom club Portsmouth.

Wanderers will travel to the Midlands without Sean Davis, who is a doubt for the remainder of the season with after knee surgery.

That means Ricardo Gardner and Matt Taylor could both start at St.Andrews, with Lee Chung-Yong on the bench once more.

Ivan Klasnic could keep his place in attack alongside Kevin Davies, with club record signing Johan Elmander expected to be on the bench again.

Fabrice Muamba will return to his old club for the first time since joining Bolton last year, and is expected to receive a warm reception from the home crowd.

Birmingham go into the game with huge injury problems. Franck Queudrue, David Murphy and Martin Taylor will all be missing from the defence, while Cameron Jerome, Marcus Bent and James McFadden will all be missing in attack.

Those are among 12 possibly absentees for Alex McLeish, although Steve Carr, Stuart Parnaby, Sebastian Larsson and Lee Carsley will all be given fitness tests before the game.

This will be the first meeting between the sides since Bolton were 3-0 victors at the Reebok Stadium in December 2007.
