Swansea City midfielder Ferrie Bodde is keeping quiet as speculation grows about his future.

Reports in Wales say the Dutchman has been fined by the Swans after failing to report for pre-season training at the start of the week, after Wanderers had failed with a £2.5million offer for the 27-year-old.

It is understood that an apology has been made after he drew criticism from new Swansea boss Paulo Sousa and chairman Huw Jenkins, but speculation still hovers around the Liberty Stadium.

With Wigan expected to rival Bolton for the former ADO Den Haag man, Bodde is keeping tight-lipped over his future.

"A lot of people are using my name in newspapers and I do not wish to add to that right now," Bodde told The Western Mail.

"I may be able to say something tomorrow."
