Cahill Hoping For Further Recognition

Bolton defender Gary Cahill is hoping he can remain in Fabio Capello's England plans for the future.

The 23-year-old was drafted into the England squad earlier this month for the World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Andorra, but failed to get onto the field in both games.

However, despite not being used in those games, Cahill is determined to continue his good form next season and establish himself on the international scene.

"Now that I have been involved in the England set-up, it makes me even hungrier to be involved once again." Cahill told Extra Time.

"Over a period of 12 months, the England call-up capped everything off really nicely and I want to keep progressing in the same way at Bolton next year."
