Bolton Fail With Bodde Bid

Swansea City have turned down a bid in the region of £2.5million from Bolton for Ferrie Bodde.

The 27-year-old has not featured for the Championship side since sustaining a cruciate knee ligament injury last November, but that has not stopped Wanderers boss Gary Megson from making an approach.

Despite the approach, Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed an offer has been rejected.

"We received a written offer from Bolton yesterday - the offer was worth around £2.5million.

"We believe Ferrie is worth a lot more than that and as a result we officially turned the offer down today."

Should a deal be agreed, Swansea would only keep half of the transfer fee, with the other 50% going to Bodde's former club ADO Den Haag.
