Bolton have reportedly sent scouts to watch South Korean winger Lee Chung-Yong.
The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Asian football and is already a regular for his national side.
Kim Seung-Tae, the general manager of Ti Sports, who represent the player, have confirmed that Wanderers are keeping tabs on the starlet.
"Yes, Bolton have sent a scout to watch him play for South Korea," Kim said.
"However, nothing has been discussed at this stage."
Lee currently plays for FC Seoul in his homeland, but their boss Han Woong-Soo has yet to hear of any approach from the Reebok Stadium.
"There were rumours about Lee, but we have had no contact from Bolton," he said.
"We are willing to talk. Lee is a key player for us but he can leave if it will help with his development."
