Sebastien Puygrenier will not make his loan deal with Bolton a permanent arrangement and has returned to Russia.

The French defender failed to establish himself in the Wanderers side since moving from Zenit St.Petersburg in January, but is hoping for another stint in England according to his agent.

"Bolton will not use their buy-out clause," Michael Manuello told Setanta Sports.

"He is back at Zenit, but he would like to return to The Premier League and Zenit are happy to send him on loan.

"So leaving the Russian club is an option, even if he would fight for his place if he was to stay in St Petersburg. Signing with a team that has been promoted to The Premier League could be an option, indeed.

"It did not work out for Sebastien at Bolton because he joined them after a two-month holiday period. He was not fit and needed more preparation."

Fellow loanees Ariza Makukula and Ebi Smolarek have also returned to their parent clubs after Bolton decided not to pursue their interest in making their moves permanent.
