Torino have confirmed that they will pursue a deal that will see Blerim Dzemaili move to Italy on a permanent basis.

The Switzerland international joined the Italian side on a season-long loan last summer and, according to president Urbano Cairo, has done enough to earn a permanent move.

"I have already prepared the letter in which I will announce to Bolton my wish to buy Dzemaili's sporting rights," Cairo told Tuttosport.

"I have until the end of the month to exercise the right to buy the player.

"I will definitely acquire Dzemaili and I would like to do it as soon as possible.

"The letter has been written and my wish is to send it on Sunday, on the same day as Dzemaili turns 23."

Dzemaili has made just one appearance for Bolton, in the FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United in January 2008.
