Bolton boss Gary Megson was disappointed with the fans response after the 3-1 defeat to Fulham.
Individual errors were to blame for all three goals the Wanderers conceded, prompting a negative reaction from fans and players alike.
Megson believes everybody, both fans and players, need to pull together if the club are to survive in the Premier League this season.
"We've been beaten 3-1 and there's been a reaction to individual players from the crowd - some of the players have reacted to as well we'll have to try and sort out," said Megson.
"We're going to have to find a way to get over the finishing line. I don't think we are going to play Brazilian-type, attractive football.
"We're going to have to roll our sleeves up as I said, play at a high tempo, get the second balls, get crosses in and do the things we do.
"Today we've huffed and puffed a little bit, but the mistakes we've made have cost us and you're not going to win many games at this level."
