Mustapha Riga admits he has been frustrated with his lack of playing time at Bolton and could move on in the summer.

Riga has made just three starts for the club since moving from Levante last summer and hasn't figured at all since picking up an ankle injury against Manchester City back in November.

Speaking to The Bolton News, the 27-year-old admitted he would work for free if it meant he was playing every week.

"If it wasn't for the fans I would already be dead, but they keep me alive," Riga said.

"I hear the fans shouting my name and it cheers me up.

"I've fully recovered from injury but I haven't been on the pitch much and it's been tough for me. It's very frustrating because I want to play and I want to help the team.

"But I'm not a quitter. I will carry on working hard and, as long as the fans stick by me, I will be trying my best to get into the team. It's more frustrating because I know I can help but I can't show it. The style of The Premier League would suit me.

"When I came here I thought we were going to play for the top six or seven and that was why I chose Bolton. But I haven't had much opportunity to show my qualities here and that's what is so frustrating.

"I'm trying to stay cool and not lose my head. I just want to finish the season and see what happens. I'm used to playing every week.

"I played in the highest league in the world and now I don't get an opportunity - it's tough. If I hadn't got injured then I don't think I would be out of the team.

"I just want to be in the team and in the squad. Last year I was playing and making goals but not getting paid. I prefer not to get paid and play each week. I just want to play."
