Joey O'Brien is expected to miss at least another two months of action after having surgery on a knee injury.

O'Brien hasn't played for Bolton since the goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers in October and last week underwent surgery in Colorado under the supervision of Dr Richard Steadman.

When he returns to England, the Republic of Ireland international will begin his rehabilitation process and it is hoped he could be back in action before the end of April.
