Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws has dismissed speculation linking Mark Beevers with a January move to Bolton.

The 19-year-old defender, who was voted Wednesday's Player of the Year last season, has been linked with a £3million move to the Reebok, but Laws has rejected talk of a possible move.

"There is absolutely nothing in that whatsoever and I can categorically tell you that," Laws said.

"There's been no contact from the football club whatsoever. Beevers is going nowhere and neither is (Richard) Wood or (Tommy) Spurr.

"We want to build a team around them and we've already stated we don't have to sell.

"We are in a financial position where we don't have to sell and that is a positive."
