Jussi Jaaskelainen will stay at Bolton despite rumoured interest in the goalkeeper ahead of the January transfer window. That is the belief of Wanderers boss Gary Megson.

Jaaskelainen, who signed a new four-year deal in the summer, is reportedly attracting the interest of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but Megson doesn't expect the Finn to move anywhere.

"I wouldn't have thought Jussi would be going anywhere else," Megson told The Sun.

"He seems settled here. He took his kids to view a new school on Wednesday and I'd expect him to stay.

"He signed a four-year contract a few months ago and, while things do change, there hasn't been any contact through myself or the chairman."
