Italian side Torino are hoping they can keep hold of Bolton midfielder Blerim Dzemaili, who is currently on loan at the club.

The 22-year-old, who joined Bolton in the summer of 2007, made just one appearance for the club last season after struggling to recover from a serious knee injury sustained prior to the switch.

After an impressive pre-season, the Switzerland international was sent on loan to the Italian side and they are hopeful of turning the deal into a permanent switch.

"We are hoping to find the finances which will allow us to sign him permanently," Torino president Urbano Cairo told La Stampa.

According to reports in Italy, Bolton would be willing to sell for a fee of around £1.6m.
