Jussi Plays Down Heroics

Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has played down talk of his match winning performance against Hull and insists he is happy the team won the game.

The 33-year-old was in superb form as he pulled off a string of superb saves to deny the Tigers an equaliser after Matt Taylor had put Wanderers in front.

But the Finland international, who signed a new four-year deal in the summer, insists he is happy to be praised, but is happier when the team is winning.

"It was a special day because we have got the three points," Jaaskelainen told the club's official website.

"They only had their chances in the last ten minutes. We deserved to be 1-0 up so then it was a case of keeping the clean sheet.

"Sometimes it's the little things that go for you in games. Earlier in the season, the ball might have bounced half a yard their way and their player would have got to it first.

"Because of the way we have been working hard as a team, we probably deserve that bit of luck because those things have not been going our way.

"Hopefully these back-to-back wins are the start of something for us. We have to keep going."
