Ivan Campo is to hold talks with Ipswich Town over the next couple of days with a view to a move to Portman Road.

Campo was released by Bolton at the end of last season following six successful years at the Reebok and is currently on the lookout for a new club.

It appears as though the Tractor Boys have made the first move and manager Jim Magilton has confirmed the Spaniard was at their pre-season friendly with West Ham last night.

"I will be showing Ivan around the training ground and Portman Road," Magilton said.

"He has played at the highest level for many years and is someone I feel could do a good job for us.

"He's got bags of experience and could come into the club and really help our younger players, but we haven't got that far down the line yet.

"We will sit down and have a chat and if there is something that we can sort out, then great. If not, we move on."
