After completing 10 years of service at Bolton, Jussi Jaaskelainen is to hold talks with the club regarding his testimonial.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper signed a new your-year contract during the summer, which upon completion will take his stay at the club to 14 years, a feat rarely seen in modern day football.

Jaaskelainen's recent new deal entitled him to a testimonial match, following his move from VPS Vaasa in 1997, and the Finn admits plans will begin in the next few weeks.

"I'm not sure exactly when it will happen, but when the season starts I'll sit down with the club and work something out," Jaaskelainen said.

But the Finland international wants to put talk of a testimonial behind him and concentrate on the season ahead, determined to help Wanderers have a better campaign than last season.

"We all start with the same number of points now," he said.

"The manager has brought his own men in over the summer and we have got to work hard to make sure we get a good start in the first 10 games.

"The squad is getting stronger and hopefully we will see a couple more players come in to make it even better."
