Ivan Campo could be closing in on a return to his native Spain with a possible move to Real Sociedad.
The 34-year-old was released by Bolton at the end of last season and is currently on the lookout for a new club.
Sociedad appear to have made a formal approach to the player and Campo admits he would be interested in a return to Spain and is hoping to finalise a deal.
"This would be a very attractive move for me," Campo told El Mundo Deportivo.
"My parents live there and to play for Real is a positive option.
"That is my first consideration right now.
"My goal right now is to continue playing football and what better place to do that than at Real?"
Campo has spent six years away from Spain after leaving Real Madrid for Bolton in 2002.
