Jussi Jaaskelainen has agreed to stay at Bolton Wanderers, according to his agent, Peter Harrison.

Jaaskelainen's contract at the Reebok expires at the end of the month and he had been widely tipped to move on after 11 successful years with the club.

However, after over a year of speculation, the Finland international has verbally agreed a four year deal and is expected to sign within the next fortnight.

"We have agreed terms," Harrison told Sky Sports.

"The deal is for four years but it is not signed yet as Jussi is away on holiday.

"He is very happy to be staying as he loves the fans and the club."
