Bolton reserves striker Johann Smith has joined Stockport County on a 28-day loan deal.

The 20-year-old USA under-21 international will go straight into the County squad for Friday's game with Macclesfield Town and admits he is looking to impress during his loan spell.

"I'm looking forward to playing first-team football and I'm looking forward to the atmosphere on Friday night," Smith told Stockport County's official website.

"I aim to try my hardest and hopefully we'll get the win."

Smith has made three senior appearances for Bolton, all as a substitute during last season's campaign.
