After beating off interest from several Premier League clubs for his signature, Bolton completed the signing of Oldham Athletic's Tom Eaves in August 2010 for an undisclosed fee.
Just two weeks before signing for the club, the then 18-year-old scored a hat-trick against Wanderers in a pre-season friendly at Boundary Park.
