After rejecting a move to Glasgow Rangers, Bolton completed the signing of Danny Shittu from Watford in August 2008 for a fee of around £2million.
During his stay at the Reebok Stadium, however, he failed to hold down a regular place in the side, making just 12 appearances for the club before being released from his contract in September 2010.
