Johan Elmander signed for Bolton in the summer of 2008, becoming the club's record signing for a fee believed to be in the region of £8.2million.
Wanderers boss Gary Megson had tried to sign the player in the previous transfer window, but was thwarted in his attempts by a £22million price tag quoted by Toulouse.
Elmander scored on his debut for Bolton, netting the third in a 3-1 victory over Stoke City at the Reebok Stadium in August 2008.
