After failing to establish himself during his time at Aston Villa, Gary Cahill moved to Bolton in January 2008 for a fee of around £5,000,000.

He immediately found himself in the Wanderers side and played a big part in helping the side survive relegation from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Despite only being at the club for a limited time, Cahill has already captained the side and he is widely tipped to be a future England international.
