After an impressive season on loan at the club in 2004/05, El-Hadji Diouf signed for Bolton in the summer of 2005 from Liverpool.
The controversial forward hit the headlines after numerous spitting incidents and was always the player opposition fans loved to hate.
However, Diouf's on field abilities, together with his general time for supporters made him a fans favourite before a shock move to Sunderland in July 2008 ended his stay at the club.
