Bolton boss Gary Megson was unhappy with the decision of a linesman as his side fell to a 2-1 defeat at Wolves.

Wanderers fell behind with just three minutes on the clock through a Jody Craddock goal, with television replays clearly showing the Wolves defender to have strayed beyond the last defender prior to the goal.

Nenad Milijas added a second after the break before Johan Elmander pulled one back late on for the visitors, leaving Megson left to rue the early offside decision that wasn't given.

"It's so obvious it's untrue," Megson told Sky Sports. "I don't suppose (referee) Chris (Foy) can see it from his position.

"The referee, I think, is a good referee, but I think he has been let down badly by his linesman because Craddock is offside all the way.

"There are times where it comes down to antics of whether all his body is offside but to not be given offside is pathetic."

Wanderers now lie 19th in the Premier League, two points ahead of bottom side Portsmouth.
