Coyle Hopeful Of Alonso Deal

Owen Coyle says a deal to bring Real Madrid's Marcos Alonso to Bolton is nearing completion.

Coyle has been chasing the 19-year-old all summer and reports on Thursday suggested the signing had been completed.

Speaking after the 1-1 draw with Rochdale at Spotland, Coyle admitted he was hopeful of bringing more players to the club, starting with Alonso early next week.

"We will do our utmost to do that (sign more players)," Coyle told Sky Sports.

"We are trying to get a little bit closer to bringing in Marcos Alonso from Real Madrid.

"It's not quite 100 per cent but we are well down the road with it and I would hope that by the start of the week we can conclude that."
