Bolton have completed the signing of Marvin Sordell for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £3million.

Sordell joins Wanderers from Championship side Watford, for who he scored 27 goals in 82 appearances.

The 20-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year contract at the Reebok Stadium and becomes Bolton's third and final signing of the January transfer window, following on from Tim Ream and Ryo Miyaichi.

Coyle is understood to have beaten off competition from Cardiff City to sign the England under-21 international and the Wanderers boss admits he is delighted to have added Sordell to his squad.

"I am delighted to have brought Marvin to our club, as there were a number of other Premier League clubs tracking him," Coyle told the club's official website.

"We know that he has great potential and I am really looking forward to working with him.

"Overall, we're very pleased with all the players we have been able to bring in, as we have strengthened and added real quality signings to our squad."

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed the signing is subject to confirmation of approval by The FA and the Premier League, which is expected to be granted on Wednesday morning.
