Bolton have completed the double signings of Zat Knight and Sam Ricketts from Aston Villa and Hull City respectively.

Boss Gary Megson has been chasing the players for quite some time and has finally pulled off the deals, with both players signing three-year deals at the Reebok Stadium.

Both players join for undisclosed fees, but it is understood Knight has cost Wanderers £4million, with another £2million spent on the capture of Ricketts.

Speaking about his latest captures, Megson was delighted that they both made the decision to join Bolton.

"We are really pleased that we could complete the deals. Both players had other offers to consider," Megson told the club's official website.

"There was a huge amount of work done by the Chairman, with the support of Eddie Davies, to make these to happen.

"I am sure that they will fit in to the squad and we are going to make sure that we help them with their new challenge.

"Zat has plenty of Premier League experience and has played at the highest level with England, while Sam personally had a successful debut Premier League campaign with Hull."
