Bolton have completed the signing of Marcos Alonso from Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old has signed a three-year contract at the Reebok Stadium and becomes Owen Coyle's third summer signing, after Martin Petrov and Robbie Blake.
He made his debut for the Madrid giants in a 2-0 win over Racing Santander in April and Coyle admits he is delighted to have secured the services of a possible star of the future.
"He is an exciting young player who has undoubted quality and he will bring that into our mix. I think that we have a real talent on our hands," Coyle told the club's official website.
"I have said before that when we are investing money in transfers that I want to do it with young, talented players.
"He isn't the finished article yet - he's a young player making his way - but you don't get through at Real Madrid without having a bit about you."
It is understood that Wanderers have agreed to pay a fee of between £1.5million and £2.2million.
