Allardyce To Miss Bolton Return

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce will miss his team's trip to Bolton on Sunday after it was revealed he requires heart surgery.
Allardyce, who has previously represented Wanderers as a player and manager, has a narrowing to one branch of his coronary arteries and will undergo an angioplasty to insert a stent into the artery early next week.
Speaking about the news, Rovers chairman John Williams explained Allardyce's disappointment as missing the game.
"Sam is very disappointed, particularly at missing the Bolton fixture, but his well being is of prime consideration," Williams told Rovers' official website.
"We all appreciate that Premier League football is a stressful business and prevention is always better than cure."
Neil McDonald, also a former Wanderers employee, will take care of first team duties during Allardyce's absence.
