DIOUF ADMITS EURO TIREDNESS - Wednesday 12th March 2008
El-Hadji Diouf has admitted Bolton's success in Europe has had a negative impact on the club's Premier League form.
The Trotters are in Portugal ahead of their UEFA Cup last 16 2nd leg tie against Sporting Lisbon on Thursday, but Sunday's league game at Wigan may take priority.
Diouf has not travelled with the squad but is still confident the club can advance to the quarter-finals, no matter who is on the pitch.
"Of course our form has been badly affected by the UEFA Cup," Diouf told the Daily Mirror.
"But we have done well in Europe and now we just need more points to stay in The Premier League.
"If we continue the way we are going right now we will stay up."
